Rodriguez Gets Fragile
You may have never seen anything Eduardo Sanchez has done yet, but that’s because he’s only helmed one movie that’s apparently having a bitch of a time getting released here in the states.
Said movie is Curandero, and it’s quality has opened quite a few doors for Eduardo (though it doesn’t hurt that Robert Rodriguez produced it). This morning Daily Variety reported that another door, that to the director’s chair of the zombie story Fragile, has swung wide for the young director.
Based on the graphic novel by Stefano Raffaele, Fragile is about a recently-undead soldier, a female zombie and a teenager as they race against time to find a cure for their disease before the zombie’s former military unit can catch up with them. Its set in a post-apocalyptic world in which an airborne virus has reduced most of the population to flesh-eating ghouls, though apparently some retain their mental facilities for a while.
Rogue is behind Fragile, another exciting genre picture knotch the studio can add to their bedpost, but we’re not sure if his other directorial project, Open Grave for NALA Films, will come first. Keep it here for details as they shamble down the street!
Hope there’s some good ole zombie love in this one on the Dread Central forums!
