Director Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World 3 roams freely into theaters in June 2021 and begins filming “very soon.” And today, Chris Pratt let us know it will be a massive, worldwide movie.
Pratt tells Ellen: “The script is unbelievable. Colin Trevorrow, who wrote and directed Jurassic World is coming back to do this one. I can’t wait… I will shoot on and off until July. It’s a big one, close to 100 shoot days. It’s a massive movie, a big movie. We’ll be all over the world.”
Jurassic World 3 sees the return of Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt as Owen and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire with Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm.
The third entry will be directed once again by Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) from a script written by Emily Carmichael and Trevorrow and based on a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow will executive produce, with producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Jurassic World 3 will roam freely into theaters on June 11, 2021.
While the plot of Jurassic World 3 is under wraps, the last film began three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, with Owen and Claire returning to the island to save the dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of dinosaurs, while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.
