Get ready for a big-time rumor, ladies and gentlemen. Today we’re hearing that Disney+ has a “PG-13 Predator TV show” in the works. Yeah, you read that right.
According to We Got This Covered, the House of Mouse is currently developing a series set in the same world as the other films that will feature new characters and an entirely unique story.
Once again, this is just a rumor at this time but we will make sure to keep on top of the potential series as it develops and pass along further updates as we hear them.
The original film followed Dutch, a soldier of fortune, who is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain and CIA agent George, land in Central America, something is gravely wrong. After finding a string of dead bodies, the crew discovers they are being hunted by a brutal creature with superhuman strength and the ability to disappear into its surroundings.
Predator was directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard) from a screenplay written by Jim Thomas and John Thomas. Lawrence Gordon, Joel Silver, and John Davis produced. It starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Landham, Shane Black, and Kevin Peter Hall as The Predator. 20th Century Fox released it on June 12, 1987.
