Kirkman Speaks of the Dead
The Walking Dead is a beautifully written comic from Image that centers around people…some living…most dead. Robert Kirkman advances the art of “human drama” with every issue and his fans can’t get enough of it.
This week, IGN Comics got a hold of the man who would be king of the zombies to find out where he draws inspiration, how his own personal process works, meeting deadlines (or sometimes not) and saying goodbye to characters he’s come to love at the drop of the hat.
This is an A to Zed interview (pun intended) covering the creation of the book up to the formulation of story lines that won’t even see the light of day until this time next year! Kirkman is a humble guy who loves his work and it comes across full on in this interview. Be warned: if you are just starting to jump onto this series, there are more than a handful of spoilers littered throughout the text as well as a six page preview of the latest issue. Read with one hand over your face like I did!
