Guy Pearce and a Character Death Spoiler Highlight Prometheus News

We are always on the hunt for any bit of news about Ridley Scott’s mysterious Prometheus to share with you. Today we have not one, but two little bits of information that you might find interesting. They concern a big star with a small part in the film and a spoiler. Consider yourself warned.
Thanks to an interview by MTV, we learn that Guy Pearce, the star of such kick-ass films as Ravenous, The Hurt Locker and Memento, has just a very small role in the film. In the interview Pearce states, “I’m only [in the film] for a minute, but it was a real honor to work with Ridley [Scott], to see what was going on. I think Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron and everybody will do a really spectacular job.”
And if that’s not enough Prometheus for you for today, we’ve got one more, and it’s a bit of a spoiler. Scottish actress Kate Dickie revealed in an interview with Bleeding Cool that her character doesn’t fare too well in the film. (Thanks to AvPGalaxy for the shot of the newspaper). The article reads: “Kate plays a tough first officer called Mudow, who needs to help her fellow crew members become acclimatized to their removal from cryo-sleep after a long space journey which ends on an apparently barren planet. With their muscles wasted from five years without use, she helps them to get fit – only for them to fall victims to horrible creatures that begin stalking them for food.” Kate also mentioned that Mudow only lasts about 28 minutes into the film. Synopsis
