Fresh Diary Pics, Video
Someone save us from low budget, shot on digital zombie flicks! Please! No more Zombies Gone Wild or Zombie Nation! Wait … what is this? George A. Romero is coming to save the day with a new take on the sub-genre he pretty much created (“Exclusive: Romero Talks Diary of the Dead!” – February 19, 2007)? Thank Gebus!
Bloody Disgusting scored five new photos from George Romero’s latest zombie project Diary of the Dead. These new images mainly show the lead cast, but one in particular does give us a nice view of an undead flesh eater. You can see some of him on the right, but to see the big picture head on over to BD.
This fresh walking dead film from Romero takes place during the beginning of the zombie outbreak that we say in Night of the Living Dead. This time around we aren’t following Barbara or Ben, but a group of college kids who get caught up in the whole mess while filming a horror flick.
If you’re wondering how it will all pan out, it would be a good idea to head off to the Toronto International Film Festival where Diary of the Dead will be having its premier on Saturday, September 9th as part of the Midnight Madness film group. If Canada is out of your range, just waste some time in the Diary archive until the film gets a wide release.
Also, be sure to hit the Diary of the Dead MySpace page to check out new behind the scenes footage from the film, shot by Red Shirt Picture’s own Michael Felsher (interview)!
