David Lynch’s 1997 thriller Lost Highway is a dizzying burst of sexuality amidst an eerie and haunting world where nothing is quite what it seems. It’s a film that has polarized audiences and critics since its release over twenty years ago and it still elicits fascination amongst viewers who are hypnotized by the beautiful visuals, captivating soundtrack, and compelling characters.

For those who are eager to have a wonderful version of the film on their shelves, Kino Lorber have announced that they will be releasing a Blu-ray version on June 25. Pre-orders are already open via their site.

Haunting sexuality, ricochet action and fleeting, murderous shadows await you on a journey that begins and ends on the Lost Highway. The successful jazz musician whose marriage is on the rocks… The man in black who threatens to expose him… The young mechanic with links to a powerful mobster… The mobster’s moll, who knows what she wants and the people who can get it for her. These are the riders on the Lost Highway, trapped in their worlds of desire, destiny, and unknown destination, where the truth is always just a short way further down the road.

Written by David Lynch and Barry Gifford, Lost Highway was directed by Lynch and stars Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, Balthazar Getty, Robert Blake, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Gary Busey, and Robert Loggia. The soundtrack was composed by frequent Lynch collaborator Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet).
