Video Explores the ALIEN Franchise’s Past and What That Means for Its Future at Disney

Ever since it was announced in 2018 that Disney would be absorbing 20th Century Fox, fans of the Alien franchise have wondered what the future holds for the series launched by Ridley Scott in 1979. Panels at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week suggest the House of Mouse does foresee a future for Alien, but how that will manifest remains to be seen.

One of our favorite UK film critics and academics, Mr. H, has produced a video editorial on what the future could hold for Alien at Disney. He takes a long view of the franchise’s entire history, as well as Scott’s most recent installment, Alien: Covenant, and what its reception suggests about the franchise moving forward.

It’s all conjecture at this point, but Mr. H has a knack for cutting through the clutter with an incredible track-record for predicting outcomes. Give it a spin at the top of the article and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
