The Year of the King (Stephen King, of course) kicks off in earnest this Friday with the hotly-anticipated release of Pet Sematary. Everyone is getting excited for the film’s arrival, including the bestselling author himself.

Those of us who follow King’s Twitter account have long be entertained by the exploits of his corgi, Molly, a rambunctious dog he also calls “The Thing of Evil”. Today, the master of modern horror shared a picture of Molly after he took her to an advanced screening of Pet Sematary. Now she really looks like a thing of evil!

Pet Sematary arrives in theaters this Friday, April 5th. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

Synopsis:
Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbor Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.

Pet Sematary is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) and stars Jason Clarke, John Lithgow, and Amy Seimetz.
