WATCHMEN Series & DEADWOOD Movie Footage Revealed in HBO 2019 Trailer

HBO gave their subscribers a peek at what’s coming down the pike in 2019, and at least a couple of projects should interest horror fans. In the trailer at the top of the article, we see footage from the premium network’s upcoming Watchmen series and Deadwood movie (not to mention the final season of Game of Thrones, if that’s your thing).

Damon Lindelof‘s Watchmen is being called a loose adaptation of the source material (the series of graphic novels by Alan Moore), but that’s pretty much all we know at this point.

The Deadwood film will be fans’ first return to post-Civil War mining town since the series ended (abruptly) in 2006; with such a long gap between projects, it’s unlikely the story will be picking up exactly where it left off (which is a shame, as the town was on the verge of a riot).

Game of Thrones has always skirted the border of horror with dragons, ice zombies, and whatnot. But since this will be the series’ final season, we can expect (or at least hope) that producers will be going balls to the wall with all things violent, gory, and scary AF!
