FRIDAY THE 13TH: KILLER PUZZLE Making A Killing On Nintendo Switch
Jason Voorhees is about to make his triumphant return to Nintendo, because Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle will soon be released on the Switch. We’re huge fans of both Nintendo and the Friday the 13th franchise round these parts, so we could not be happier to report this news.
The isometric puzzle game originally launched on PC and mobile devices earlier this year, and whilst some players may have found the experience of guiding Jason through complicated puzzle grid to be frustrating, the brutal kills he performed when he finally reached his victims made it all worthwhile.
We had a good time with Killer Puzzle, calling it a ‘unique way to experience the franchise’ in our review. A lot of other people clearly had a good time with it too, because it went on to achieve over eight million downloads. Developer Blue Wizard Digital confirmed that players have performed over 250 million kills since the game’s original launch, so Jason has clearly been a very busy boy.
A new trailer released on Blue Wizard’s YouTube channel confirmed that Killer Puzzle will be heading to the Switch on October 25, making it the first game in the franchise to be released on a Nintendo console since 1989. If you head over to Nintendo’s official website, you can pre-order Killer Puzzle for $19.99, so Switch owners are in for a very special Halloween.
