Dread Central Presents: We’re Opening a BOOK OF MONSTERS!

The film had its world premiere earlier today at Arrow Video FrightFest to a sold-out audience.

We’ll be revealing our release strategy over the coming months but right now now we’re just so thrilled to finally announce that we’re bringing you this gore-heavy, practical FX-driven, party extravaganza!

Director Stewart Sparke explains, “It’s an incredible honor to be with the Dread Central Presents team. It’s more than we ever could have hoped for and we can’t wait to bring Book of Monsters to audiences all over the world!”

Writer Paul Butler adds, “When we started making Book of Monsters, we had three goals: have our Kickstarter succeed, make the movie, and get distribution. The dream was to be on Dread Central Presents, so when the opportunity came our way, our jaws hit the floor! I feel like we won filmmaking getting on Dread Central Presents!”

Lead actress Lyndsey Craine tells us, “It’s everything to be on Dread Central Presents! This was one of our goals, so it’s everything to have this support!”

Lizzie Stanton, who plays Beth, on Book of Monsters joining the Dread Central Presents family: “I’m so excited to be under this wing and to think of the future of this release!”

Michaela Longden, who plays Mona, says, “This is the most phenomenal news we could’ve had and more than we could’ve ever expected! I am absolutely overjoyed and thrilled!”

Sophie’s 18th birthday party becomes a bloodbath when six terrifying monsters descend upon her house, intent on devouring the party guests and killing anyone who tries to leave. As her school friends are torn apart and eaten, Sophie must rally a band of misfits and take up arms to send their party crashers back to hell. To survive the night, Sophie will face her destiny; monsters are real – and she’s the only one who can stop them.

Directed by Stewart Sparke and written by Paul Butler, Book of Monsters stars Lyndsey Craine, Michaela Longden, Lizzie Stanton, Daniel S. Thrace, Anna Dawson, Rose Muirhead, Arron Dennis and Steph Mossman as well as Nicholas Vince, aka the “Chatterer” from Hellraiser!
