Sanchez Talks Seventh Moon
Solid information about Eduardo (Altered, Blair Witch Project) Sanchez’s next film, Seventh Moon, has been sparse to put it mildly. We know it’s set in China and … well, that’s about it.
Today, however, the gents over at Bloody Good Horror posted a new interview with the man in which he finally gave us a little bit more. A very little more. Check it out:
“It’s basically about this honeymooning couple in China, that are visiting China during the seventh lunar month, which is kind of like the superstitious month (in China) kind of like Halloween,” he told the site. “And they just kind of run into some bad things there … it’s a lot more “Blair Witch-ey” than “Altered.” You definitely see what’s going on more than “Blair Witch,” but there’s less in your face kind of stuff. Also just the style, I want to let the actors improv a little bit, and I want to run one of the cameras myself. It’s just a completely different style of filmmaking.”
The plan for now is to head out to the Land of the Rising Sun for their Hungry Ghost Festival on August 27th, then a few weeks of pre-production before filming on the movie proper will begin. Personally I’m damn curious to learn more about this one; if you are, too, keep it here! And be sure to check out the whole interview on BGH!
