First Look: A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES Starring Palmer and Goode
Bad Wolf and Sky Productions television series adaptation of Deborah Harkness’ fantasy trilogy, A Discovery of Witches, will air on Sky One in the U.K. this year.
And today we have your first look.
The series doesn’t yet have a U.S. distributor as of yet, but it does sport such names as Teresa Palmer (Lights Out) and Matthew Goode (Watchmen) plus witches, demons, and vampires, so I’m intrigued.
You can check out the first look footage below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
The film also stars Alex Kingston, Valarie Pettiford, Lindsey Duncan, Owen Teale, Edward Bluemel, and Daniel Ezra. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear word on the series’ U.S. release date.
Synopsis:
While at Oxford, Diana, “an astonishingly powerful” but untrained witch, stumbles upon a magical tome that’s long been sought by the three magical species: witches, vampires, and daemons. The discovery garners the attention of Matthew, one of those searching for the book, but his attraction to Diana complicates matters as other mysterious and dangerous forces come looking for the tome and the only known witch who was able to conjure it. There’s the Covenant, the governing body of mystical creatures, that prevents “interspecies relationships.” But things, as you can plainly see, get steamy anyway as a magical war threatens to break out.
