Latest DARQ Trailer Shows off the Game’s Physics-based Puzzles
It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard anything about the horror puzzle game Darq, although a newly released trailer shows off some of the mind-bending obstacles you’ll have to overcome as you traverse through a literal nightmare.
Darq, which is being developed by Unfold Games, by takes place inside the nightmare of an unfortunate young boy named Lloyd, who desperately wants to wake up. When all attempts to do so end in failure, Lloyd is forced to explore the darkest corners of his subconsciousness to discover what is preventing him from awakening. The gameplay will mostly revolve around interacting with the dream world to solve physics-based puzzles, although you’ll also have to use stealth to evade the horrific creatures of Lloyd’s nightmares.
Wlad Marhulets, who worked on films such The Giver, The November Man, and Hitman: Agent 47, is serving as Darq’s composer and art director, whilst Adam Schmidt, who is known for his work on Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, is onboard as sound mixer. If you’re intrigued by what you’ve seen of Darq so far, keep an eye out for more information about the game at this month’s E3.
