Netflix’s TAU Starring Maika Monroe and Gary Oldman Hits Next Month
Looks like director Federico D’Alessandro’s sci-fi thriller Tau starring Maika Monroe (It Follows) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) will be hitting Netflix in less than a month. Yes, Pop Sugar reports the film is set to begin streaming on June 29th.
The movie follows the tale of Monroe’s character, who is the latest victim held captive by Skerin in a killer smart house called Tau. Cooler still is that none other than Gary Oldman provides the voice of the titular advanced artificial intelligence.
It has been rated R for “some violence and language.”
The film is directed by Federico D’Alessandro from a script written by Noga Landau. It stars Maika Monroe, Ed Skrein, and Gary Oldman as the voice of Tau. It’s produced by David S. Goyer, Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, and Kevin Turen. Paris Kassidokostas Latsis, Terry Dougas, Jean-Luc De Fanti, Ken Kao, Dan Kao, and Luc Etienne served as executive producers. And Rhea Films co-produced. The film is financed by Waypoint Entertainment and Hercules Film Fund.
