Killer Robots and Zombies Invade Soviet Russia In Upcoming Game ATOMIC HEART
Being a huge enthusiast of the medium of video games, I really do love it when a small indie title from a no-name developer comes along and sets the internet on fire. Which is exactly what has happened with Atomic Heart, an adventure first-person shooter set in an alternate version of the Soviet Union. The game’s trailer has already accumulated over 500,000 views on YouTube, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Developed by Mundfish (nope, neither have we), Atomic Heart is being built using Unreal Engine 4, hence the shiny visuals. Playing as a secret agent working for the Russian government, you’re sent to investigate why a remote facility went radio silent, which could have possibly been due to a machine uprising. The gruesome horror elements, which are very much at play in the trailer, kind of give me the impression that Atomic Heart will be like BioShock, but with killer robots instead of Big Daddys. We can also clearly see that zombies will be appearing, because what kind of horror game these days doesn’t have zombies?
Mundfish will publish Atomic Heart on PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year. Keep an eye on their blog for official updates.
