Fiona Dourif a Cult Leader in THE PURGE TV Series

Poor Fiona Dourif. She just can’t seem to get away from these cults! Yes, the spawn of Chucky himself Brad Dourif and the star of the recent Cult of Chucky, Fiona Dourif has just signed on to Blumhouse’s upcoming The Purge TV series as a cult LEADER this time around. Fitting.

Deadline reports Dourif will play a recurring role of “Good Leader Tavis, the cool and offbeat, the much-adored, charismatic cult leader, dispensing blessings to her fawning followers.”

She joins a cast that includes series regulars Gabriel Chavarria, Lili Simmons, Jessica Garza, Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, Hannah Anderson, Lee Tergesen, and William Baldwin.

I love baby Dourif so this only makes me more inclined to tune in to this Purge TV show once it hits USA Network and SyFy in the near-future. Casting such a genre talent is a good move on this show’s part, I say!

The First Purge begins July 4th, 2018. The TV series will follow shortly after.

Synopsis:

Behind every tradition lies a revolution. Next Independence Day, witness the rise of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness. Welcome to the movement that began as a simple experiment: The First Purge. To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.
