Brad Dourif Confirms CHILD’S PLAY TV Series
A while back we shared the awesome news that Don Mancini ma very well be moving his Child’s Play series into the realm of TV along with franchise producer David Kirschner.
“We plan to use Child’s Play in the title,” Mancini explained earlier this year. “We want to definitely signal that we are going dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy.”
He then added that the series was “deliberately set up at end of the last movie,” and the “tone is dark and disturbing.”
Kirschner stated that it won’t be a reboot and will be a continuation of the story, and Mancini made sure to confirm that Brad Dourif will once again return to voice Chucky. And today we have confirmation via Chucky himself Brad Dourif.
“I haven’t spoken to Don [Mancini],” Dourif shared with Den of Geek. “My daughter [who starred in Cult of Chucky] is very close to him, they speak almost every day. She assures me that the TV series, at least, is something that there’s a lot of interest in. I don’t know if that’s gonna happen or not, but it certainly could.”
Nice! Personally, I cannot wait for this new series and I think it will work gangbusters. In fact, I wrote a full article on the matter a few weeks back so make sure to check that out before passing judgment on the show.
