[REC] 5 A Possibility?

For months now we’ve been reporting that the next two films in the [REC] franchise would be wrapping up the series. Well, you know how that goes. There’s always an idea. Always a chance. Always another sequel.
During a conversation on Twitter co-director Paco Plaza dropped a line to Jaume Balaguero that he’d had an idea for a fifth film that could serve well as a sequel to Parts 3 and 4. What that means is anyone’s guess. Just keeping you guys in the loop.
In any event, while Paco Plaza’s [REC] 3: Genesis is now in post, co-creator of the unlikely franchise, Jaume Balagueró, took to Twitter today to announce that [REC] 4: Apocalypse is in pre-production.
Details on the fourth film are slim, but we did know that this entry would be the final one of the franchise. Lord knows what’ll happen now. Stay tuned.
