Genre journalists Thom Carnell (Fangoria, Dread Central) and Sean “The Butcher” Smithson (Fangoria, Twitchfilm.com) release yet another episode of the highly lauded podcast series The Night Crew on their unsuspecting listeners.
This episode sees the return of regular Twitch contributors Andrew Mack (back from a short hiatus) and The Man From Hong Kong, James Marsh, both bringing news from near and far (ok, well… Toronto and Hong Kong). The World’s Most Unlikely Cowboy, author and journalist Phillip Nutman, examines the relatively unknown (but utterly quirky) Johnny Guitar, and Fangoria Editor-in-Chief, Chris Alexander, takes a nostalgic look at Tobe Hooper’s Lifeforce.
This episode’s special guest, the great Simon Rumley, is the writer/director of one of the most amazing films of 2010: the caustic, unflinching, and extremely mature Red, White & Blue. Simon calls in from his home in the UK to talk about his earlier work (The Living And The Dead), discuss the making of Red, White & Blue, as well as bring news of several new anthology projects (Little Deaths and The ABCs of Death) he has in store for audiences.
Rounding things off, Thom and Sean run down the latest batch of films they’ve been watching. Plus… the usual music, trailers, and insanity.
All of this eccentric and eclectic mayhem can only be found in one place… only on… THE NIGHT CREW!
