Almost immediately after news broke about Supermassive Games’ Hidden Agenda launching on 24 October, it’s now been confirmed that their next project, The Inpatient, will release on November 21, 2017. This announcement came in the form of a very disturbing new trailer. A new post from executive producer Simon Harris was also published on the PlayStation Blog.

Serving as a prequel to Until Dawn (review), The Inpatient follows the horrendous ordeal of a patient trapped in the notorious Blackwood Sanatorium. Regarding continuity, we also know that The Inpatient occurs sixty years prior to Until Dawn, although it’s not yet clear exactly how the plots of the two games will connect.

Either way, it looks like we’re in for yet another incredibly immersive experience of interactive horror when The Inpatient launches later this year.
