Romero Gives a Diary Update

George Romero is getting ready to re-enter the zombie genre more or less created with Diary of the Dead a completely new, fully independent and radically different kind of film than what we might expect.

Or so say those lucky few that have seen it. Personally I don’t want any hyperbole to influence me one way or another so I’m going in with a fully opened mind. But when will my mind finally be filled with Diary? Hard to say so far…

Uncle George dropped a line to Ain’t It Cool recently with a special message, and update if you will, that should make you all feel a whole lot better about the movie. Here’s a snippet;

“Diary is a hundred percent independent, made with my partner, Peter Grunwald, and our new friends at Artfire. I haven’t had this much freedom since 1968 … This one comes from my heart. It’s not a sequel or a remake. It’s a whole new beginning for the dead.”

And anything from George’s heart is something that’s going to be pretty damn special, says I. Check out the whole message by clicking here and hope for more Diary updates very soon!
