Loads of Halloween Discs!
DVD Drive-In scored some major news today from both MGM and Fox, who have a great amount of Halloween digital goodness being readied for the all-consuming consumer (that’s you!). Check out MGM’s Midnite Movies double feature slate first:
The first two sets will feature brand new hi-def transfers, which means they’re going to look more amazing than ever thought possible. Additionally they will be releasing stand-alone discs for Witchfinder General (finally) and Food of the Gods. All these titles will hit on September 11th (which is going to make for one long DVD list on the 10th). Witchfinder will be the director’s cut, featuring the original score by Paul Ferris, commentary, and a collection of stills taken on-set. Hell yeah!
To add to said list, Fox will also be unleashing a new torrent of horror movies to DVD, most of which are also double features as well. Check them out:
This last is a box set featuring The Fly, Return of The Fly and, for the first time ever on DVD, Curse of the Fly (pictured). Sexy!
