New Trip to Hell House Planned?
Despite their iffy turnout to date (28 Weeks fucking ruled, the rest has been “eh”), I’m happy to see that Fox Atomic is sticking to our genre for future endeavors, at least that seems to be their plan so far.
Recently it was announced that the fledgling development studio were taking the remake of The Entity under their wing, the one set to be directed by Hideo Nakata (read our last bit of news on The Entity here), and today STYD has learned that they have their sites on a new retelling of Richard Matheson’s classic ghost tale, Hell House.
The story was originally brought to the big screen by John Hough as The Legend of Hell House back in 1973, wherein Clive Revill starred as Dr. Barrett, a physicist who is sent to the legendary Hell House along with his wife and a survivor of a previous incident in the home to attempt to prove/disprove life after death. Things don’t go well.
The new Hell Houseis in the very early stages of planning, but you can be sure as soon as there’s more to report you’ll read about it here!
