Jack Reher Taking Us to the Edge of the Unknown
Another day, another comic book to film adaptation. It’s really interesting to see Hollywood constantly mining the comics scene for the next hot property, but hey, we’re not complaining. There’s some really good stuff out there!
According to Bloody Disgusting Jack Reher (Red Machine) is penning a live-action adaptation of Jon Vinson’s comic Edge of the Unknown, which has been described as Se7en crossed with a supernatural Chinatown. The project will be going out to directors soon. Stay tuned.
Synopsis
An older Harry Houdini, past his prime, is dealing with one failure after another. Arthur Conan Doyle, known for creating “the world’s greatest detective”, sits in at a seance and believes every moment of it. They were friends once… Now, after a number of young girls have been found dead, Houdini is drawn into investigating the murders. Knowing he won’t be able to do it alone, Houdini asks his old friend, Doyle, for help. What they find will shock and disturb and leave a lasting impression on both of them.
