Legion Recruits The Orphanage
The Orphanage FX studio has quite a number of big name films under its belt: Superman Returns and the latest Pirates sequel to name a few. They were also responsible for the stunning creature (pictured right) in The Host (review). This kind of talent is not going unrewarded as the Orphanage’s co-founder, Scott Stewart, is being given his first directorial voyage thanks to their recent match-up with Bold Films.
According to Variety Bold Films is not only taking in Stewart, but his whole FX house as well to create a supernatural thriller called Legion. Variety is also telling us that Legion is about “a group of strangers stranded in a desert truck stop who must band together to stop an army of demonic creatures out to fulfill an ancient prophecy that opens the gates of hell.“
If you remove the prophecy bit from the plot then it starts to sound a lot like Feast (review). But, hopefully Legion will have more than a one day, limited release in the theatres.
We’ll bring you more as we find it.
