That’s right, kids! We’re gonna make you all martyrs! On your knees and be punished until you give us that look. Oh, that would be way too much fun. THR is reporting that FilmRise has acquired worldwide distribution rights to the Marilyn Manson-starring revenge thriller Let Me Make You a Martyr, and it will release the film across all digital and home media platforms in early 2017.
In his biggest onscreen role to date, Manson stars as a hardened, contemplative hit man hired by his father to kill his other son. However, the siblings join forces to take down the abusive Midwestern patriarch. Mark Boone Junior and Niko Nicotera are also featured in the cast.
Marking the feature debut of co-directors Corey Asraf and John Swab, the film was written by Swab and produced by Asraf, Swab, Michael Jefferson, Sam Quartin and Mark Boone Junior, among others.
Manson is a producer on the film and co-stars alongside Mark Boone Junior, Niko Nicotera, Sam Quartin, and Michael Potts.
Let Me Make You a Martyr follows Drew Glass (Niko Nicotera), a young man recently returned to his hometown after years away, who crosses paths with his adoptive father, local crime boss Larry Glass (Mark Boone Junior), and reconnects with his adopted sister and love interest, June Glass (Sam Quartin). Determined to run away together and escape their complicated past, June and Drew concoct a plan to kill Larry. Unfortunately, Larry finds out about the scheme and hires a hit man of his own (Manson) to resolve the problem.
