Blackburne to Big Screen
It happens all the time; someone with a vivid imagination sits down to pen a story they think is brilliant but completely from their own brain, only to find out that they’ve uncovered a supernatural truth that has been kept secret for decades. Shit, that happened to me twice last year.
Such is the premise of the Fabian Nicieza-penned, Stefano Raffaele-illustrated Blackburne Covenant graphic novel, which Dark Horse Entertainment has teamed with Hyde Park Entertainment on to bring to the big screen, according to Variety. Specifically, the story focuses on Richard Kaine, a bestselling fantasy author whose latest fiction novel turns out not to be fiction, who finds himself pursued by a group who will stop at nothing to keep the truths he’s accidentally unearthed from being spread.
It’s too early to say who will direct or if the graphic novel’s creators will have a hand in its translation to motion picture, but we’ll keep our ear to the ground, as uncomfortable as that might be, so you can know more soon!
