Haberman’s Retrospective Hijinx – Pick Your Poison!
Venomous Mammals … call me irresponsible, call me indecisive, but don’t call me lazy. Once again, I’m reaching out to you for assistance in choosing which film to retrospect upon. But it isn’t because I take quick glances at my obscene library and give up on making a special selection – no. It’s because I sweat blood night after night trying to determine what film should be picked from the bloated class. I refuse to go back to the hospital for horror films again (another story altogether), so we must try something else, mustn’t we?
Here we go. Below you will find a small gallery of photos from a variety of films. Whether or not they are “good” or “bad” doesn’t matter, as I suspect they are all beyond succinct critical description. That’s why they and we are here.
If you would indulge me, I request that you view the photos and remark about which picture tickles your fancy the most. The film that receives the most tickled fancies will have its fancy tickled in the next retrospective.
I know this may seem like somewhat of an easy way out but I am, quite frankly, in Hell. I cannot – CANNOT – choose the next film. It’s impossible. There are simply too many options – for me – and why waste time on this rotten disorder I’ve acquired? Let’s rock. And be proud of your contributions, as you’re keeping this writer healthy and happy: your helpful nudges will be the equivalent of lying on a clean cloud while drinking a magical cocktail of vintage Rose Hip Moonshine. And for a young native Kentuckian, it doesn’t get any better than that.
The Brain (1988)
Frankenstein ’80 (1972)
It Lives Again (1978)
The Baby (1973)
One Dark Night (1983)
Thank you and good luck,
– Haberman
