First Official Look at Derek Mears as the Classic Predator in Predators

We all know that Nimrod Antal’s latest entry into the Predator franchise, Predators, will feature several different variations on the classic intergalactic hunters, including a new take on the first one we ever saw which appeared in the original Schwarzenegger vehicle, dubbed the Classic Predator.

German film magazine Widescreen just landed the first official image of Derek Mears (Friday the 13th, The Hills Have Eyes II) playing the classic version of the creature we’ve all come to know and love for their July cover and we’ve got it for you below.

Look for the film in theatres July 9th.

Synopsis
“Predators, a bold new chapter in the Predator universe, shot under the creative auspices of Robert Rodriguez, stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the notable exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systematically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.”
