Blood Oath Becoming a Feature Film
Well. That didn’t take long. Just a few hours ago we told you about Chris Farnsworth’s new vampire thriller Blood Oath hitting store shelves … well … today, and now comes the news that it’s also getting adapted for the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog Lucas Foster and his Warp Films have picked up the rights to Blood Oath, a vampire action novel written by Farnsworth, with the aim of fast-tracking a feature franchise about a vampire secret agent.
Blood Oath, written by Chris Farnsworth (click here for his official site) and published by Putnam Adult, is the first in a series of novels featuring Nathaniel Cade – the President’s vampire.
Zach Barrows is an ambitious young White House staffer whose career takes an unexpected turn when he’s partnered with Nathaniel Cade, a secret agent sworn to protect the President. But Cade is no ordinary civil servant. Bound by a special blood oath, he is a vampire. Cade battles nightmares before they can break into the daylight world of the American dream, enemies far stranger – and far more dangerous – than civilians have ever imagined. As Cade and Barrows try to stop Cade’s old nemesis, Dr. Johann Konrad, from creating an army of Frankensteinian monster soldiers, they uncover a deeper government conspiracy.
