Bootleg Super 8 Trailer Hits Online … But …

Published

on

Super 8Well, you knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. The teaser trailer for the new JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg alien film Super 8 is now available online on just about every video upload service there is thanks to a whole lot of risk taking bootleggers.

The trailer will be attached to prints of Iron Man 2 this weekend, and we’ve reported about every single bit of news imaginable about what to expect and what you’ll see. For our full coverage thus far click here.

We’re not going to bother linking up the video because chances are that any one of the dozens there are to choose from will have already been taken down by the time you read this. Don’t be too upset though; each one that we saw was pretty bad.

Either way … it’s out there if you want it, but why bother? Either go to the movies, or chill out and wait for the real thing that’s likely to pop up online any day now given the hype around this project.

Super 8 tells the tale of bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera that notice upon viewing their footage that they’ve captured what appears to be an alien on film.

If you have seen it … share your thoughts below and let the discussion begin!

B. 12 years
C. 100 years

Email your answer to contests@dreadcentral.com including your FULL NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS along with “Winchester Competition” in your subject line, and we’ll take care of the rest. The competition closes on May 28, and please don’t enter if you live outside the UK.

Winchester was directed by the Spierig Brothers, and was co-distributed by Lionsgate and CBS Films. It stars Academy Award winner Helen Mirren alongside Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Finn Scicluna-O’Prey, and Angus Sampson.

Winchester Official Synopsis
On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits the most haunted house in the world. Built by Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren), the eccentric firearm heiress to the Winchester Repeating Arms fortune, it is a house that knows no end.

Renowned for its enormous size, its architectural curiosities, and its lack of any master building plan, the Winchester house was constructed in an incessant twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week mania for decades. It stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms with numerous oddities. To the outsider it looks like a monstrous monument to a disturbed woman’s madness. But Sarah is not building for herself, for her niece (Sarah Snook) or for the brilliant Doctor Eric Price (Jason Clarke) whom she has summoned to the house. She is building a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts, and the most terrifying among them have a score to settle with the Winchesters.

AHS 8 Will Be More Like ASYLUM and COVEN

Published

on

News has been steadily coming in regarding the upcoming 8th season of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series American Horror Story. It was just the other day that we let you guys know that Billie Lourd will be back for the new season, which begins shooting this June.

And today we have word via Deadline regarding just what the tone will be for this new season, rumored to be titled AHS: Radioactive.

It’s not necessarily as real and grounded as the past season,” Murphy said. “We’re sort of getting back to Asylum and Coven. That’s the tone of it.”

Personally, I really enjoyed the grounded tone of AHS: Cult and I think it helped rejuvenate the series. But then again, a return to the tone of perhaps the show’s most beloved season (AHS: Asylum) is just what the series needs in the long run.

Are you excited to hear AHS 8 will be going back to the tone of Asylum and Coven? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

AHS Season 8 stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Kathy Bates, and new cast member Joan Collins, who will play Peters’ grandmother. Murphy has revealed he’s interested in casting Anjelica Huston (The Addams Family) as well.
