Russian Horror Film Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite Hitting Theaters in June

Released last September in its native Russia, the film Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite has finally picked up a US release date. Look for it in select theaters June 10th with a digital release coming via Level 33 Entertainment on June 15th.
The titular “Queen of Spades” refers to a demonic entity who thankfully remains trapped in the mirror realm until (surprise, surprise) a group of teens unwillingly set her free.
Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy directs. Igor Hripunov, Vladimir Seleznev, Evgenia Loza, Sergey Pohodaev, Alina Babak, Valery Dmitriev, and Valentin Sadiki star.
Synopsis:
Legend has it that any mirror may become a portal into the world of the dead. It is said the Queen of Spades gets her energy from reflective objects, and anyone who sees her will go insane or die. When four teenagers summon the Queen as a joke, one of them dies suddenly, and the group realizes they have conjured up an inexplicable and deadly evil.
