Michael Jackson’s Thriller to Get 3D Treatment?

default-featured-image

Michael Jackson met his apex of fame while dabbling around in our genre with his mega video Thriller, which featured werewolves, zombies, and of course some memorable voice work from Vincent Price. Now it looks as if we’ll be able to experience all that coolness in a whole new dimension!

CHUD reports that while screening his doc Slashers at the BFI in London, director John Landis let fans know that the hour-long documentary The Making of Thriller, along with the remastered longform video, would be released soon, and to further sweeten the pot, he also mentioned that Jackson’s estate wants to re-release Thriller in 3D. No word yet on whether this will be an attraction somewhere or just a home video thing, but when we know, you’ll know!

Now then …

Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y’awl’s neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse’s shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of …. the thriller!
