Motion Picture Purgatory: Where the Wild Things Are
Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s story Where the Wild Things Are has been met with mixed reactions. So of course our own Rick Trembles has to add his voice to the crowd.
In the story Max, a disobedient little boy, is sent to bed without his supper. He creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler. Who among us wouldn’t love to be able to lead a group of monsters around?
