Guest Star Briana Buckmaster Returns in Supernatural Episode 11.07 – Plush; Could She Be Part of a Spin-off?

As mentioned when we first provided the synopsis for the upcoming Episode 11.07 of “Supernatural,” entitled “Plush,” the phenomenally popular Briana Buckmaster is returning as Sheriff Donna Hanscum, but that’s not the most interesting part of the story. If her fans have their way, Buckmaster could be part of the much-discussed potential spin-off of the series. But let’s start at the beginning…
Buckmaster (pictured below; photo credit: Gordan Dumka) first appeared in “Supernatural” on November 19, 2014, in the episode “The Purge.” Not much of a “tweeter” at the time, Buckmaster found herself with 800 new followers after the ep’s airing. Following her second appearance on December 2, 2014, in “Hibbing 911,” she jumped to 8,000 and now has 16,000 loyal fans. Since then, she has been to three cons (London, DC, and Chicago), is at one in LA this weekend, and has eight more on her schedule in locations as far away as Australia.
So, what are Briana’s fans up to?
A movement called “Wayward Daughters” is pushing for a spin-off starring Buckmaster’s character, Sheriff Donna; Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes); Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton), the daughter of Castiel’s “vessel,” Jimmy Novak; and Annie (Alex) Jones (Katherine Ramdeen), a former member of a vampire “family” whom Jody took under her wing, revolving around a school for young hunters.
Well, that’s certainly one way to address “Supernatural’s” ongoing “female problem.” What do you guys think?

SHERIFF DONNA RETURNS — Sheriff Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help after a horrific murder with supernatural elements happens in her town. Sam continues to have visions and asks God for help, which frustrates Dean. Tim Andrew directed the episode written by Eric Charmleo and Nicole Snyder.
