Puppetcore Films’ Frank & Zed Combines Blood, Guts, and Felt

I like puppets, and I’m pretty fond of horror films. So, not surprisingly, I have a pretty strong interest in a motion picture that skillfully combines these things. Enter Puppetcore Films’ Frank & Zed, a flick that is all about the “blood, guts, and felt,” according to the project’s official Kickstarter campaign. The filmmakers don’t need a lot of money to tell their story — just $15,000 to be exact — so they’re counting on fans to help them reach their goal. In other words, give them some of your money.

What kind of horror story can you tell with puppets? Check this out:

Centuries ago, a desperate battle left a village wasted, a new bride dead, and two mortal enemies dependent on each other for survival. Forgotten amongst the crumbling ruins, our two heroes have eked out a meager existence, each responsible for feeding the other. One fateful day, a villager trespasses into Frank’s hunting grounds. The resulting “harvest” provides Zed with a full tummy and sets the entire town on a course of bloody retribution.

Our undead heroes are out-numbered, out-axed, and falling apart but they’re not going down without orchestrating a macabre symphony of blood, guts, and felt.
