Genre Vets Prove They Are of The Violent KindYou have got to love it when a plan comes together. Especially when said plan unites individuals with their own bounty of horror cred to work on one single project. A project that is of The Violent Kind.

THR reports that Andy Gould and Malek Akkad (pictured right), who produced Dimension’s 2007 Halloween revival, and Jeffrey Allard, who exec produced New Line’s two Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboots, are teaming up for The Violent Kind. They are joined by fellow producers Michael Ferris Gibson and Jeremy Platt and exec producer K’Dee Miller on the indie-financed feature, which revolves around a group of young bikers who find themselves tormented by mysterious and gory goings-on in a secluded farmhouse.

Violence. Secluded farmhouses. Gore. Yep, we’re interested. Taking the directorial helm will be Mitchell Altieri and Phil Flores, known to horror buffs as the Butcher Brothers (The Hamiltons), who will be directing from a script that they also wrote. Cast thus far are Hamiltons alumni Cory Knauf and Bret Roberts and “Heroes” co-star Taylor Cole. Filming begins this month in Southern California.
