Universal to Issue a Fear Agent?
Nowadays for a film to get made it either has to be a sequel, a remake, or based on a comic book. Yep, that’s Hollywood’s sacred cinematic tri-force of sorts. With Comic-Con right around the corner it’s a good bet that we’ll be hearing about lots more adaptations including Dark Horse’s Fear Agent for Universal.
THR’s Risky Biz Blog reports that [Universal] is in early development on the Dark Horse sci-fi property “Fear Agent.” The project is now an open-writing assignment, but there’s a possibility that the studio could match a spec whose rights are controlled by “Air Force One” producer Jonathan Shestack and bring Shestack on to produce “Agent.”
The story centers around the adventures of a borderline alcoholic astronaut named Heath Huston from Texas that works as a Fear Agent whose sole mission is to defend Earth from any and all threats. A job he isn’t very good at. Sort of like George W. only smarter.
