Left 4 Dead Cast Joins Zombie Army Trilogy in Free Update

Yup, headline says it all, folks. If what was holding you back from buying Rebellion’s Zombie Army Trilogy was the lack of a wisecracking Southern black high school gym coach and a perpetually disgruntled biker, your prayers have been answered. Still confused on the concept? Check out the trailer:

So while previously you shot Nazi zombies in an alternate reality World War II with period appropriate characters, you now shoot them with the cast of both Left 4 Dead games. “But wait,” you ask, “how did the cast of the titles time travel all the way back to Berlin? And isn’t Bill supposed to be canonically dead? This ruins my immersion in this demon-worshiping zombie Nazi Hitler death cult timeline!” Well, worry not, conspicuously designed just for this hypothetical situation person, because the folks at Rebellion would like to remind you that they also run a comic distribution service! You can check it out the 12-page backstory comic for free here. I read it, and the promise of answering any questions is about as loose as your stepdad telling you he’s really excited to go to your piano recital, but all of this is free as hell, so it’s hard to complain.

If you haven’t played any of the Nazi Zombie Army games, Zombie Army Trilogy is a great deal right now. They dropped the price from $45 to $15 for the weekend, so pick it up before Monday if you want to see what slow-mo sniping zombies with up to four friends is all about. You can also pick up a four-pack for $45, so you can save a few more bucks by dividing that four ways. Sure, the update is about as fluff as a marshmallow pillow, but the actual series is a lot of mindless fun. Pick it up, have fun with the extras, and shoot zombies. Sounds like a win to me.
