Martyr’s Lane, Ruth Platt’s third feature, is described as “a ghost story that haunts, a heartbreaking fairy tale that whispers its truths in tears and blood”. Look for it to screen at Fantasia on Thursday, July 19th, and Saturday, July 21st! If you aren’t attending Fantasia, you’ll be able to see Martyr’s Lane on Shudder beginning September 9th.
Today, Dread Central is thrilled to exclusively debut some images from Martyr’s Lane! Check them out below!
Synopsis:
Leah, 10, lives in a large vicarage, full of lost souls and the needy. In the day the house is bustling with people; at night it is dark, empty, a space for Leah’s nightmares to creep into. A small, nightly visitor brings Leah comfort, but soon she will realize that her little visitor offers knowledge that might be very, very dangerous.
According to Eye for Film:
“It’s the third feature-length work directed by Ruth Platt, adapted from her 2019 short, and it hinges on a beautifully balanced pair of performances by child actors Kiera Thompson and Sienna Sayer.
