In Slices, five directors will tell five different stories, including “The Exterminator”, directed by Vito Trabucco, which is described as in the style of Saw or Hostel. It centers on a big business CEO who gets kidnapped and tortured by one of his own henchman. Then there’s “The Range”, directed by Lance Polland, a period piece set in the Old West. It features 3 Confederate Soldiers on the run who come face to face with flesh eating zombies. “Turnout”, directed by Lenny Lenox, is about a young couple and their friend out hiking in the mountains when they start getting killed off by a madman. “Night Scream” comes from director Neil McCurry and is a tale about a blood thirsty female Vampire who stumbles upon a house of unsuspecting college kids. Finally there’s “Dead Letters” from Steven Richards; a yarn about an book author who still carries a torch for his dead wife and discovers a way to reanimate her when he receives a mysterious package in the mail.
The film will be premiering at The Mint in LA on November 8th with a party being thrown by the Slices team and the one and only Troma, so you know that, if nothing else, there’s going to be a helluva lot of scantily clad ladies!
The poster you see on your right was designed by Oddtospy FX man and “>100 Tears director Marcus Koch, who, in case you hadn’t heard me say it before, is a badass! Get more info at the official Slices site!
