Sci Fi Wire is reporting that ABC is moving forward on the long-discussed reboot of the “V” series, with the allegory of Nazis and the Holocaust being replaced by a more general theme of what happens when citizens have blind faith in their leaders. HD Films’ Jace Hall is producing alongside “The 4400” co-creator Scott Peters, who wrote the first “V” films and helped with the TV series.
The new “V” will focus on a Homeland Security officer named Erica Evans, whose directionless son jumps at the chance to help our new alien friends, causing all sorts of familial tension. Other storylines will also come into play for the overall arc.
So we’ll be watching how this one develops and keep you informed!
