While most people spent this past Friday the 13th making Jason jokes, perfecting 50 Shades of Grey gags, and preparing for Valentine’s Day, the folks at Scream Factory set about giving fans plenty to scream about with all-day Facebook updates on upcoming releases and announcing a few more.

Starting with the biggest news, one of the most underrated horror gems of the Eighties is now slated to get the Scream Factory treatment: I, Madman. Tibor Takacs (The Gate) directed Near Dark‘s Jenny Wright in this twisted tale of a used bookstore employee with a thing for stories of the macabre who discovers that the insane doctor of the rare book she’s been reading has escaped the pages and entered our world to finish the story.

No other details at the moment other than to expect it sometime later this year.

More release dates announced:

Scarecrows standalone Blu-ray on June 2nd
Sleepaway Camp II & III on June 9th
Tentacles/Reptilicus double feature on June 16th
Robot Jox on July 7th
Howling II on July 14th

On the further details front, Scream Factory also announced their double feature Blus of Food of the Gods and Frogs will include a new interview with actress Belinda Balaski, and both Food of the Gods and Empire of the Ants (paired with Jaws of Satan) will boast new audio commentary by director Bert I. Gordon. I didn’t even know Mr. Big was still alive. Both discs are slated to street on May 26th.

Lastly, one more new double feature Blu-ray was announced, boasting a pair of lesser known Italian ghost flicks from 1988: Umberto Lenzi’s GhostHouse sees visitors to a deserted house terrorized by visions of a deceased girl and her doll while Witchery is a spookfest starring David Hasselhoff and Linda Blair among a group of victims being murdered by supernatural forces in an abandoned hotel.

The Ghosthouse/Witchery duo is set for release on June 30th.

Whew! That’s a lot of news for one day.
