Matt Pizzolo and Anna Wieszczyk’s brutal hit comic series Godkiller continues its reign of terror by selling through the second printing of Godkiller #2 and generating demand for a third printing, whose cover is a celebration of cosplay and fandom.
The new artwork features a fan-made photo of Samantha Lubrano cosplaying Godkiller‘s Halfpipe (photographed by Justin Brooks). Samantha sent the photo to Anna Wieszczyk, who loved it so much she suggested it be a variant cover.
Lubrano and Brooks re-created one of Godkiller’s most striking moments, when young anti-heroine Halfpipe gloomily stitches shut her own enormous stab wound… just another day in the life for the comic’s doomed fringe-dwellers.
Godkiller #2 Synopsis:
There will be blood as Tommy comes face to face with organ-stealing, escaped-brothel-slave Halfpipe (Godkiller’s iconic & beloved anti-heroine), resulting in the twist of fate that sends Tommy on his dark odyssey into the savage land of Outer City.
