Some official plot for your ass: While honeymooning in rural China during the Hungry Ghost Festival, newlyweds Melissa (Amy Smart) and Yul (Tim Chiou) find themselves stranded at night in the middle of a superstitious ritual that may be more real than folk legend.
The festival celebrates the time of year in which the gates of hell open, allowing the dead to roam free among the living for a period of time. Sanchez shot it on location in China and has been blogging about since before cameras rolled so if you’re curious, get to reading through his previous blog entries.
Be sure to check out the film’s official write-up on the Fantastic Fest site, as well. Good stuff there! Look for a new site and a sexified trailer for Seventh Moon in the coming weeks!
