Dunst Gets Jealous

Ah, good to see the big stars coming back to their roots, as it were, and giving horror a second spin … despite the fact that they insist on calling it “supernatural thriller”.

In question this time is Kirsten Dunst, who got her big break in 1994’s Interview With a Vampire and will now return to the genre with a film called A Jealous Ghost according to The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the book by A. N. Wilson (get it here), Ghost is about a girl who starts seeing demons shortly after she begins a relationship with one of her professors.

The book, which has been garnering much praise since its release in May of 2005, tells the story a bit differently (third person omniscient, for starters), but the important elements from it will be held over for the film. Dunst will star as well as produce alongside Film 360. Paramount Vantage is behind it all, so we can expect a good theatrical release at the very least.
