Fangoria heard from the director recently, who gave them a bit of plot for World’s Fair: “It’s about an escape artist who, at the end of his life, finds himself trapped in limbo because of the miserable existence he lived—he was a selfish, horrible guy,” McKenney told the mag. “He may have done something really horrible, and he starts reflecting back on his life.”
The writer/director went on to say that Angus Scrimm will portray the aging escape artist, while Don Wood will play his younger self. Shooting is expected to start up in October in the Catskills, where McKenney’s already found people with tents and exotic animals that’ll make the illusion of a traveling carnival that much easier to create.
We’ll have more on World’s Fair soon, so don’t look away!
