Set to be published in the 2009 tribute to Richard Matheseon, He Is Legend (pre-order it here), “Throttle” has just been scooped up by producer Nick Wechsler for a film adaptation, according to this morning’s Variety. Wechsler is known for nabbing properties early, having picked up Cormac McCarthy’s The Road before it won the Pulitzer, so I think it’s safe to say it’s in good hands.
Joe Hill’s Heart-Shaped Box is still being developed at Warner Bros. with a script by Neil Jordan, no director’s been signed yet, and his graphic novel Locke & Key is in the works at Dimension. “Throttle” is the first true collaboration between father & son.
